چکیده

Refined topological relations play an important role in spatial database quality control. Currently, there is no unified and reasonable method to represent refined line/region line/line two-dimensional (2D) space. In addition, the existing independent models have some drawbacks such as incomplete type discrimination too many invariants. this paper, a are represented uniformly by sequence, dimension, of intersection components. To make relevant definitions conform traditional cognitions 2D Euclidean space, (simple) object defined based on manifold topology, components whole-whole set. Then invariant node degree introduced, adjacent point kinds (e.g., “Null”, “On”, “In”, “Out”) distinguish component types. Excluding impossible symmetrical types, 29 types intersection-lines (including 21 between lines/regions 8 lines/lines), 6 intersection-points 2 4 lines/lines) classified. On basis, degree-based sets (N-WWIS) model for presented, it can be combined with Euler number-based whole difference (E-WID) (coarse level) form hierarchical representation relations. Furthermore, prototype system N-WWIS automatic integrity checking developed evaluation experiments conducted OpenStreetMap (OSM) data presented classification The experimental results show that will enable geographic information systems (GIS) community develop automated conflict dealing tools updates

Describing Topological Relations with Voronoi-based 9-intersection Model

The Voronoi-based 9-intersection model (V9I) is a modified version of the original point-set-based 9-intersection model. The modification is made by replacing the complement (exterior) of an entity with its Voronoi region. It is shown in this paper that it is possible to solve the three major problems associated with the original 9-intersection model with the new V9I model.

Voronoi-based 9-Intersection Model for Topological Spatial Relations

Spatial relations is a key component of Geographical information science (GIS). Efforts have been made on formal definition of spatial relations and the 9-intersection model developed by Egenhofer and his collaborators is the most popular framework for the topological spatial relations. In that model, the topological relationships between two simple spatial entities A and B is transformed into ...

A 27-Intersection Model for Representing Detailed Topological Relations between Spatial Objects in Two-Dimensional Space

Determining the spatial relations between objects is a primary function of a geographic information system (GIS). One important aspect of spatial relations is topological relations, which remain constant under topological transformations. Describing the geometry of a spatial object using the OpenGIS Simple Features Specification requires only simple features: the interior, boundary and exterior...

Fuzzy Intersection and Difference Model for Topological Relations

Topological relations have played important roles in spatial query, analysis and reasoning in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial databases. The topological relations between crisp and fuzzy spatial objects based upon the 9intersections topological model have been identified. However the formalization of the topological relations between fuzzy regions needs more investigation. The ...
